Getting ready for our last day in LA: #HDTS will be selling the last gems and minerals of the 2016 season at #robpruittfleamarket, A-Z West also has hand woven panels and new ceramic containers (trying to raise funds to buy a communal kiln) at #robpruittfleamarket with #LAND and #HDTS is at #laabf2016 with our Scout Book Series – hot off the press (after many years of planning and labor) Excited to be here doing all of this – and equally excited about going back to the desert and sitting under a big rock when it's all done.

Experiencing a brief moment of calm and clean in my home – getting ready for another busy weekend in LA. The painting is of a German Shepard named Brave that my grandfather gave to my grandmother during the depression when they couldn't be together. (Later, after they were married, they painted the portrait together.)

Panel #3 by Alexa Conrad! The A-Z West Panels are hand-woven by a group of artists who use our A-Z West Weaving Studio. Each weaving is one of a kind and adheres to a simple dictate that I establish, which is then interpreted by the weavers. (for instance the panels from 2016 must have two black bars running in any direction.) We are using the "A-Z West Works" support the collective resources at A-Z West and to generate income for artists who live in the High Desert, where where employment or other sources of financial support are limited.
